Alternator - Bus 72-79 SSP 70a

SSP. 70 Amp Alternator for 1700-2000cc Bus. 1972-1979. New.

Replaces AL75X 55/60 amp. This style uses a stamped steel cover plate on the back of the alternator to connect to the cooling port and boot. The stamped steel cover is not included.

Please change your voltage regulator at the same time as fitting a new alternator. Many charging problems are due to faulty regulators. Voltage regulator part number: 043903803B

When re-fitting the cover plate on the back of the alternator you must ensure it does not contact the terminals and short the alternator.
