Remanufactured type 1 magnesium engine case.

Built in-house in our dedicated engine shop. Suitable for all type 1 applications '71-79, and bus '71 and earlier. 12V 200mm flywheel.

We offer a 1 year warranty to the original purchaser, as long as it is installed with all the original VW cooling tin, and installed by a professional. Total timing and fuel mixture must be verified at the time of install. Oil used must contain a Zinc additive, if in doubt we can make a recommendation for you. We want these engines to last a lifetime, as you would expect. Incorrect installation and setup can lead to failures, which are easily avoided.

A $800 core is added to the invoice upon purchase of this engine. Core must be rebuildable, complete, and assembled. Core must be washed and relatively clean.

Almost all of our engines are built to order. We normally have a 2-8 week build time depending on volume. Please reach out to us to get an estimate before ordering.

This part does not qualify for free shipping. We have very reasonable rates with couriers and freight companies.

We are not always able to supply these as there are less and less suitable cores available. Many engines have been rebuilt and line bored multiple times and are no longer fit to be rebuilt.
